All Things VBAC, Vaginal Birth After Caesarean

I recently had the pleasure of supporting a second-time mum who wanted guidance on having a vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC). I spent time researching statistics, exploring options, and considering the best approach for her birth. The session was so well received that I’m now including VBAC as part of my one-to-one classes.

In this personalised session, we dive deeper into the VBAC process, helping you fully understand your options and the factors that may mean a repeat caesarean is recommended. We also cover considerations such as induction after a previous caesarean, ensuring you feel informed, confident, and supported as you plan your birth.

What areas does this class cover

  • What does a VBAC birth mean
  • What are the success rates of a VBAC
  • How you can prepare for a VBAC birth
  • How your birth might differ from a low-risk vaginal birth.
  • How to ensure you still have a relaxing birth environment.

*A discussion with your midwife following may need to take place to establish the policies and processes at your chosen hospital.

A follow-up email will also be received with a summary of what has been covered in the class.

Birth Plan & Hospital Bag Packed & Ready Session

This session covers everything you need to feel fully prepared for labour and birth.

We’ll start by discussing your birth plan and all your options, creating a realistic plan that reflects your preferences. I’ll then write your birth plan and email it to you, with one set of revisions if needed.

The second part of the session focuses on your hospital bag, making sure it’s packed, organised, and ready to go. We’ll review what you already have, identify anything you still need, and pack your bag together so everything is accessible and stress-free for the big day.

You’ll also receive my free, very comprehensive “Bump to Birth” Hospital Bag Packing and Purchase Guide before the class, giving you all the checklists, tips, and advice you need to be fully prepared a resource many parents say is invaluable.

Cost- 2 hour- home visit £95

*There is an additional travel cost at 45p per mile for all one-to-one visits at home. These sessions are designed to complement not replace your regular midwifery care, specific medical advice cannot be given.
