During my 12 year career as a midwife, I’ve worked in all settings of Midwifery in several hospitals including The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where I worked as a Parent Education Midwife and also ran a weekly Multiple Birth Clinic and monthly Multiple Birth Antenatal Course.
I have experience with working within a Labour Ward supporting high-risk women during labour and delivery, including Induction of Labour and Caesarean Section.
I also have experience working in the Community setting, caring for women and their babies antenatally, postnatally and during home-births.
My last role was working with vulnerable women, giving continuity and support to them during their journey into motherhood. It was in this role that I realised how important it is to have someone to support you both emotionally and practically during your pregnancy and beyond.
Want to know more about me as a mother?
I’m a mother of two so have also most importantly been there myself and understand the changes that take place in your life when a baby arrives.
I spend a lot of my time as a parent, flying solo due to my husband serving in the Army and when he was posted abroad 9 days after our son was born. I was left with the challenge of looking after a toddler and a newborn on my own, so I really have been there and done it!
I understand the struggle but also understand how to support and advise you accordingly to alleviate your anxieties and increase your confidence in the many aspects of birth and life as a new parent.
So how exactly can I help?
I guide you in the planning and organisation for your new baby along with most importantly, helping you in being prepared both physically and mentally, so that you can focus on enjoying your journey. I have a passion for ensuring women enjoy the moment, as much as they can, rather than being caught up in the practicalities.
As a Midwife, I have worked with hundreds of couples offering advice and support, as well as guiding friends and family. I understand what you will be going through and can help you through each step.
What do I offer?
I offer a one-to-one service that is both non-judgemental and realistic.
I provide bespoke packages that guide you through preparing for your labour and birth, as well as teaching you all you need to know about a newborn baby and practically making sure you and your home are baby ready.
I help turn your anxieties into the confidence you need, to go into your journey as parents feeling relaxed and excited!
