My name is Bridie and I’ve been a registered Midwife for over 10 years. I currently live and work in South East London. I work directly under the Nursing and Midwifery Council, fully insured.
I have worked in all settings of Midwifery in a number of hospitals including The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where I worked as a Parent Education Midwife and also ran a weekly Multiple Birth Clinic and monthly Multiple Birth Antenatal Course. I have experience with working within a Labour Ward supporting high risk women during labour and delivery, including Induction of Labour and Caesarean Section. I also have experience working in the Community setting, caring for women and their babies postnatally.
I’m a Mother of two so have been there myself and understand the changes that take place in your life when a baby arrives. I spend a lot of my time as a parent, flying solo due to my husband serving in the Army and when he was posted abroad 9 days after our son was born. I was left with the challenge of looking after a toddler and a newborn on my own, so I really have been there and done it.
